All parents
want their children to grow up happy and
healthy, to lead fulfilling, productive,
independent lives. Consciously or
unconsciously, we know that our future
and that of the world is in their hands.
So, how do we support them to fully
self-express, allow them to know and
love themselves while protecting them
from harm and teaching them values?
Motivated by
these profound insights and questions,
the Curiosity Project was developed. It
turns out that the very tool we need to
address theses questions was there all
along, hardwired into us, ready for us
to access and use –
it’s Curiosity!!
If you can
spend some time observing a toddler or a
kitten, you’ll see what curiosity
looks like. To remember what it
feels like, we have to peel away
layers of cultural conditioning that has
taught us that NOT having the answers is
a sign of weakness, inadequacy, and/or
ignorance. That to ask a question is to
risk being wrong. No wonder our
curiosity is buried!
The
Curiosity Project workshops provide the
tools to peel back those layers to
reveal the curiosity that supports
building strong relationships with your
children and, in fact, all your
relationships. We’ll uncover and access
the requisites for curiosity. You’ll
practice first with yourself and then
with others in a lab setting before
taking your new act on the road. You
will marvel at the ease with which you
can address conflict or challenge with
this ability!
While
developing the Project and working with
parents, we discovered that the same
tools used to strengthen parent/child
relationships are powerful in all
relationships. So, the Project has
expanded to include couples, partners
and work teams.
How can The Curiosity Project support
your relationships?
